Central Scouting Services (CSS) is currently undertaking a significant overhaul of its Player-Scout Database, aimed at delivering a modernized, intuitive, and feature-rich platform for players, scouts, and organizations worldwide. This comprehensive update includes a complete redesign of the user interface, the integration of advanced functionalities, and the rollout of a new Android mobile application. The enhanced platform is scheduled to launch globally no later than September 1, 2025.
The updated online system has been thoughtfully engineered to reflect the needs and preferences expressed by players and scouting professionals. It will offer a clean, user-friendly design and seamless navigation, enabling more efficient and accurate talent evaluation. The complementary Android application will provide a “lite” version of the database, granting scouts mobile access to essential player information in real time—especially useful while attending live games in arenas or on the road.
One of the platform’s standout features is a mutual interest mechanism, allowing players to “swipe” on teams or organizations they are interested in. This action will trigger an automatic notification to the corresponding scouts and teams, creating a proactive, streamlined channel for expressing and gauging interest.
To further enhance communication and collaboration, the new Player-Scout Database will include internal messaging, real-time instant messaging, and integrated video call capabilities, all within the secure environment of the platform. Importantly, all communications between scouts and players will be archived and securely stored to ensure full compliance with NCAA regulations and institutional guidelines.
With these updates, CSS is reaffirming its commitment to innovation, accessibility, and the global advancement of player scouting and development. We look forward to unveiling a new era of digital scouting that empowers both players and organizations with smarter tools and better connections.
