What We Do
Central Scouting Services (CSS) operates year-round, providing comprehensive coverage across all levels of competitive hockey—from U14 through junior leagues, the NCAA, and up to the NHL and other professional circuits. Our team of experienced scouts consistently evaluates players in a wide range of settings, from local tournaments to elite showcases, generating detailed scouting reports based on firsthand observations and performance metrics.
These reports are securely stored within the CSS Player–Scout Database, a centralized platform that serves as a critical resource for coaches, scouts, general managers, and decision-makers across team and league levels. Each report contributes to a growing body of data that supports objective, evidence-based recruitment and player development strategies.
No matter where you play—whether in a major market or a remote region—there is a strong likelihood that a CSS scout has observed you in action and submitted an evaluation. These reports are not only instrumental for organizations seeking to assess talent, but are also used internally by CSS to identify candidates for future events, including our invite-only scouting combines.
For players who have not yet been evaluated, we encourage you to log into your profile within the CSS platform and submit a formal request to be scouted. Doing so ensures that you are on our radar and gives our scouting team the opportunity to assess your game and provide valuable exposure to those making decisions at the next level.
By maintaining a year-round, global scouting presence, CSS remains committed to delivering the insights and visibility that players need—and teams rely on—to succeed in today’s competitive hockey landscape.
