Central Scouting Services is the global authority concerning player scouting, data collection, and information.  All CSS staff members have played or held positions in the following leagues;

NHL, AHL, WHL, OHL, QMJHL, NCAA, USHL, NAHL, or Junior A Canada.

CSS does not participate in any activity or relationship that may impair or be presumed to impair our unbiased scouting assessment such as receiving gifts.

CSS takes the security of scouting information acquired in the course of their duties very seriously.  Only top level scouts from pre approved organizations may obtain or have access to player information.

CSS abides by international privacy laws and only provides player contact information to those athletes that “opt in” to the player database.

Dan Woodley – Western United States and Canada Director

Dan Woodley brings strategic direction for Central Scouting Services while drawing from his successful “team” systems developed over the past 18 years of coaching.  Dan brings a foundation grounded in his professional play for the Vancouver Canucks, and Montreal Canadiens organizations.

As a perennial student of the game Dan possess a passion for player development, leadership, and strategic planning that brings CSS and its members to a new level.

Jeffrey Carlson – Central United States Director/Performance Testing Coordinator

Jeff Carlson began his coaching career over 20 years ago in 1995, currently holds USA Hockey Level 4 coaching certification (since 2002), and attended several National Symposiums. He has trained thousands of ice hockey players at all levels from multiple countries; many of these players have attained professional and collegiate level careers.

Marc Lafleur – Ontario – Quebec Director

Marc Lafleur brings scouting and coaching experience from the QMJHL, NCAA and Canadian Junior A, along with his USHL and NCAA playing experience.  A distinguished member of 2016’s Hockey Canada Program of Excellence, Marc brings a wealth of experience and connections to CSS.

A former Coach Of The Year winner, Marc Lafleur is known as a detail oriented evaluator.  Marc also holds an Advanced Coaching Level (High Performance 1) of Hockey Canada’s National Coaching Certification Program.
